Celsius and Fahrenheit measure the same physical property — temperature — using different scales. Understanding both is essential for travel, cooking, and interpreting international weather data.

Celsius (°C) is the metric system's temperature scale used by most of the world. It sets water's freezing point at 0°C and boiling point at 100°C at sea level. The scale is intuitive: negative values mean freezing, 20–25°C is comfortable room temperature, 30°C+ is hot, and 100°C is boiling.

Fahrenheit (°F) is used primarily in the United States and a few territories. Water freezes at 32°F and boils at 212°F. The scale provides finer granularity for weather: 0°F is very cold, 32°F is freezing, 70°F is pleasant, and 100°F is very hot.
