Unicode Symbols Guide: How to Find and Use Special Characters

Unicode is the universal character encoding standard covering virtually every writing system, symbol, and emoji in modern use. It defines over 149,000 characters across 161 scripts.

What Unicode covers beyond letters: Mathematical operators (≤, ≥, ≠, √, ∞), currency signs (₹, €, £, ¥), arrows (→, ←, ↑, ↓, ⇒), typographic marks (—, –, …, «», ‽), geometric shapes (▲, ■, ●, ★), box drawing characters (─, │, ┌, ┐), and technical symbols (⌘, ⌥, ⏏, ⌫).
